I needed to interview a candidate from Alexandria Louisiana for our Hot Springs Arkansas hotel. Since I ended up not going to Hot Springs for the weekend, I offered to meet her halfway. I didn't know there was a Monroe Mississippi. I kept telling her that I would meet her in Monroe - she was asking me how I was going to get there. I was thinking - what difference does that make. We figured out which Monroe! Monroe Louisiana. I just needed to head straight west on 20. Neither one of had been to Monroe and I couldn't find anywhere for us to meet. I drove over early to find a place. I called her when I saw the Cracker Barrel billboard. We planned to meet at 1pm. The sign said that it was 8 miles up the road. I got off the freeway and ran a couple of errands.
Most Cracker Barrels are right off the freeway and easy enough to spot.
After running my errands, I searched for CB in my phone and then did driving directions. I started driving through this neighborhood that I was fairly confident didn't have a CB restaurant. I end up at a CB convenience store in the hood! I was laughing so hard. I called my candidate to let her know that I would be 15 minutes late and I explained what happened. She said she had had the same thing happen. TOO MUCH!
We met up and had a good interview. Pretty crazy!

On the drive back to the hotel in Clinton, there was a 20 degree temperature change and a big storm that came through.
