This was my van driver tonight. He was super fun. He has been working at the hotel for a year and a half and has done everything. He knows how to do banquets, maintenance, front desk, houseman, van and front desk. He recognized me from prior visits.
He has a small stutter which just makes him more endearing. He grew up in STAR Mississippi (you have heard of this before if you listen to country as Faith Hill is from here and she has sung a song about it). He said that Faith went to his high school and came and visited the school when he was going there.
He said he hoped to be famous one day.
I asked him what he was going to be famous for.
He said for culinary arts.
He is going to go to Nashville to go to school starting in January.
I told him about my friend who goes to culinary school in Phoenix and how he was all excited about the knives he got. And then he got excited because he said that he gets knives too!
He was telling me that he is going in a few weeks to Nashville and I was telling him he should take his resume and start getting the word out at the hotels that he is moving and wants a job. He loved that idea and said that was pretty smart! Cute kid!
