Oh my goodness. Sunday has become a travel day. When I have to get across the country and have meetings on Monday morning, it is a must to travel on a Sunday.

Let me paint a picture.

I usually book my flight at least two weeks out.
I usually book my supershuttle within 24 hours.
My stupid southwest app (if I look at it within 24 hours) shows the 2nd flight of the day.

So here it is Saturday night, and I go to book my supershuttle. I see my departure time and book my shuttle based on that information.

With supershuttle I always have enough time - I'm never running around like a crazy person.

I get picked up on Sunday.
We go to an apartment complex and pick up two separate groups - a group of one and a group of two. Both happen to be of middle eastern descent. The group of two had at least 8 suitcases and were traveling to India (and smelled).

We dropped off the one. Then the group of two realized that their flight wasn't international until after they went to Chicago. The shuttle driver had just missed their terminal.
Me - thinking that I have oh so much time - say go ahead and drop them next.
My oh smart driver says no, that is ok, I pulled your luggage aside and your terminal is next.

I get dropped off and go straight to my favorite guys at skycab.
I'm on the next flight to Jackson Mississippi.
Um, Karen - that flight leaves in 15 minutes!
but he goes on to say, I think you can make it!
He checks my bags, and I start moving. I have my FLY BY pass but there aren't any lines at security anyway.
I make it to my gate before they have even finished boarding the A group.
and

I get my favorite seat.

CRAZY!

THEN, the story continues. I have a layover in Chicago. I'm at Potbelly picking up a sandwich. I called Rod - as we were going to the same place. He said I'm just changing planes in Chicago.
WHAT JOY!
That meant that we had the same second flight to Jackson.
Unexpected fun!
