I got to travel on Fat Tuesday this year. MARDI GRAS!
I saw a woman at Potbelly Sandwiches in Chicago wearing her beads - she was celebrating SAINTS and it was fun to talk to her when I was there.

Then, I got to my end destination - our hotel in Lexington.
And when I was checking in, this sweet man who had a therapy dog and a woman's talbots scarf on AND his mardi gras beads. I asked him if I could take his picture but then didn't want to ask him again due to my poor picture taking skills.
When I asked him about his beads, he was oh too proud to pull out this piece of paper that explained what Mardi Gras was - in case I needed an explanation.
He comes and stays with us several times a year from Montana to check on his mother who lives in a nursing home in Lexington. They had celebrated Mardi Gras and that was why he had a paper explaining it. Too Cute!
