Rod was in the market to buy a car. He kept telling me that the new Ford Taurus' were HOT. And I kept laughing at him. "Rod, you can't go from having a Chrysler 300 to having a Ford Taurus - it just doesn't sound right"
Rod ended up not getting the Ford. Thank goodness - I mean really! I drive an escort - enough said.
But then yesterday, I went to pick up my rental car in Little Rock Arkansas.
The little girl said "I have one of our premium cars for you today" (even though I hadn't requested or paid for that level)
I said "Oh, really - what is that?"
"A ford taurus"
I laughed.
She said "No really - they are so nice. It is really too much car for me"
So I walk out to the car (dragging my 100 pounds of luggage behind me) and turns out it really is a nice car. In fact, I would go so far as to agree with Rod and say that it is HOT!
The new Ford Taurus is a very nice car. We had them for years until 2 years ago when they didn't produce them. Now we are ready to turn in the Camry (which we did not care for) and Gary looked at everything - the Taurus is now considered a "luxury" car and skyrocketed in price from two years ago. We are getting a Fusion instead for our second car. Time will tell if we like it as we did the old Taurus' or if it will be like the Camry. Gary tells me he ordered the RED one!!! Look out cops!!! Or should I say I should look out for cops as they definitely can see a red car zooming down the road!!!
