Best Story of the Day
Today I was at Panera Bread for lunch off of 290 by Bingle Rd.
I was standing at the table I wanted to sit at with Clarence and waiting for someone to come and clean the table off.
A man came up to me and said
"What's your name?"
I said "My name is Karen. What's yours?"
Right about that moment, I realized he looked familiar.
His name is Dustin and he is a friend of my brother Brent. He hadn't seen me since I was 12 years old! He said that he knew when he saw me that it must be me since I look so much like Brent. I have heard that so many times in my life but I always wish that they would add something like "You look so much like your brother in the GIRL version!"
We caught up. He took a picture of us together and sent to Brent to try and freak him out.
Never amazes me when I run into people that I know or that people know me.
One of my favorite stories about people recognizing me as Brent's little sister is this....
I was sitting in the LAX airport on the floor when I was in 8th grade. I was flying from Hawaii to Houston and had a layover.
I was listening to my SONY yellow walkman.
Some guy came up to me (I don't remember his name now) and asked me if I was Brent's little sister. How random is that!?!?
Happy to be known as Paul's little sister, Brent's little sister and Mark's little sister!
I couldn't find a good picture of just Brent and I - so I'm posting some of me with my sweet brothers.
