Kansas City Airport is crazy - I'm sitting here on a layover and I don't think I have ever seen such poor planning. People ARE everywhere!

I noticed that the airport seemed a distance from the city. I asked the couple that was next to me (who are natives to KC) and they said it was really far like 35 miles. I just looked it up - it is fifteen miles! Makes me smile when people's perceptions are so far out of whack!


Flying into the city was cool. The Missouri River (pronounced Missour-a by the couple that I was sitting next to) was muddy and brown like the Mississippi. But I loved it anyway. Everything looks so nice and green.
