A sad story that happened quick and ended happy.

We might have been running tight to get to the San Diego airport for our return flight to Phoenix this past Sunday.
We didn't have to check any luggage.
We had a little snafu at the Thrifty Return of our rental car. Our total cost for both days was $10.75 and they didn't know how to take our cash. Once they figured that out, they didn't have change.

We finally got on the shuttle to go to the airport. Everything is so easy and close in San Diego.

We get to the airport and check in.

We get to security and there is a long line. Our flight is leaving in less than an hour.

I show my special pass and we "fly by" everyone in line.

As we start to put our items in the little bins, Alex realizes that he doesn't have his sunglasses. He bought his oakleys with his own money. He started to freak out. We got through security.
We got to our gate.
Flight was delayed by 30 minutes.
Bret suggested that we go back to Thrifty to get the sunglasses. Alex was SURE that he left them in the rental car.
Bret decides that I should go with Alex since I have the Fly By pass.

Through texts with Bret, I discover that we heavily tipped the shuttle driver. Both Jasmine and Bret gave him $5 each.
We end up with the same shuttle driver. Toufic.

He helps us when we get back to Thrifty to find the manager. Senor had the glasses and had locked them up for safekeeping. The manager came and unlocked them.
Toufic took us back to the airport.

Of course now there was no line for security.
Made it back with 20 minutes to spare!
