Cowboy's last day was a busy one. He spent the morning in Houma going to the edge of the earth with Greg. In the afternoon, he took a guided tour of New Orleans and loved it. He took my camera along and took some pics.

We ate at Mother's (which is famous in NOLA) and each had a yummy PoBoy.

He might need a vacation to recover from this once in a lifetime vacation!

For my final post about this trip with my father in law, I would like to add a few quotes from the trip that have made me laugh. I wish I could have written down more but this is what I can remember:

"I think this is only the second time in my life that I have slept in a king size bed."
"HOLY CHRYSLER"
To Ms Cindy in Houma "Where did you learn to speak Cajun?"
"Look at all the pillows. They must charge by the pillow"
"I would work here for free if I could", referring to the restaurant that was had a Cajun band.

I was honored to take him on a trip to see all of my friends in the South that I enjoy so much. I hope that he had as much fun as I did and that we can plan another trip soon.

We went to Grand Gulf - which wasn't planned - just saw a state park sign and turned off the freeway. It was really a highlight of the day.

Cheezy Grits - another first for Brad. He has had regular grits in Texas but didn't like them. He said he didn't mind the cheezy grits.
