My favorite story from church on Sunday. Each first Sunday of the month is called Fast Sunday, we as members are encouraged to fast two meals. After the sacrament is passed, there is an opportunity for anyone in the congregation who is a member to bear their testimony. This is known as a testimony meeting.
A polynesian gentleman got up and said that his wife was turning 51 this week. His children had called and asked what they should get her for her birthday and he said he didn't know. They then asked what he was going to get her for her birthday. He replied that he was going to take her to the temple. He had not taken her to the temple since they had gone together to be sealed when they were married. He had decided that it was time for him to get a current temple recommend and take his wife back to the temple. I thought that was so sweet. He went that very morning and had his interview. He was so happy. I liked hearing his sweet testimony and how excited he was to take his wife to the temple in Memphis.
