Oh Crap!
We were on our way from Phoenix to Big Bear. Alex was in charge of driving. We were going to spend the night in Indio - this is outside of Palm Springs. We would be getting in at midnight. We had never stayed at this hotel before but it is right off the freeway so I wanted to try it.
We really just needed a place to sleep for a few hours.
I couldn't remember what the exit was. I started trying to look it up using my Priority Club App on my iPhone. Couldn't find my reservation. Couldn't find the hotel.
Got a very odd feeling.
We exited where we thought it was and pulled up.

It was an old exterior corridor hotel - YUCK
But to top it off, as of July 1st - this hotel is no longer a Holiday Inn Express hotel.

Therefore, no special rates for us.

Therefore, we had to find a room somewhere else.

We stayed where we normally do down in Palm Desert. We were glad to find a room without too much effort.

I was irritated that no one bothered to call and let me know. But I can only imagine the craziness that that hotel is experiencing.
