When the cafe first opened up, African Americans weren't allowed in the restaurant.
There are pictures all over from famous individuals that have eaten there.
It is a Jackson institution.
They have a special sauce that is made by the owners everyday and is a secret recipe.
When the waitress - Sarah (with an H) asked about our salads, she said there were only two choices. Ranch (which was definitely homemade) and their special sauce.
We could have skipped the dinner and just gone to the homemade pie and bread pudding!

One of the cool things about this place is that they only have a beer license. And so all these people come in with these beautiful and different wine carriers because they bring their own wine. Apparently there are several restaurants in Jackson where this is the case. It was really quite interesting to see!
Lastly, there was a group of 4 couples that had some beautiful cars. This was just one of them. So beautiful!
