Hurricane Katrina is what really damaged Gulfport in the surrounding area on the coast of Mississippi.

It is still very devastated.
It was sad to see.

As far as the oil spill, NO damage, NO oil ...... yet!


I tried to eat local today for lunch. I tried three different places. Two were recommended but were closed. I tried the 3rd but I think only one guy was working and he said it was going to be a 45 minute wait. There was a place to sit just he was cooking and serving.

Here is an article about the restaurant that I ate at last night. They rebuilt on the North side of the beach. One of the only restaurants to come back.
