I had a long day of travel. Actually, it isn't quite over yet. There is only one nonstop between Phoenix and Jackson each day on Southwest. If that time doesn't work for me, I get stuck on crazy flights like today. I left Jackson to fly to Houston. I left Houston to fly to Denver. I'm sitting in Denver waiting for my delayed plane to take me to Phoenix.

On my flight from Jackson to Houston, I had the sweetest little girl sitting next to me. She got out her little ipod before the flight. I told her that she should just put the bud in her left ear and not show the actual ipod so that she could listen during the beginning of the flight. Keep in mind she is seven years old. She was so flippin' cute. Everytime the flight attendant came by she would put her ear to her shoulder or put her princess blanket up and cover her face. I had created a monster.
She played all the games on my phone during the flight - going back and forth from checkers to hangman to unblock me. At the end of the flight, without any encouragement from her sweet mom, she thanked me for letting her play with the phone. What a good girl!

We weren't changing planes in Houston. So I asked if I could run down to Pappasito's - the gate agent told me not to dawdle and I could. Running down the terminal, I accomplished picking up dinner for me and also chips and salsa for Alex and Jasmine.

The flight was full to Denver and the middle seat was taken by a nice older woman. She spent at least half the flight looking at pictures on her phone of cats. I learned towards the end of the flight that she shows cats. AND that she had the cat on the plane at her feet! I wouldn't have even known if she hadn't said anything. The cat is a grand champion and she was showing her this weekend in Denver - hoping to keep her title.
Crazy! Never met someone who showed cats before!
