I always think I have these great ideas.
Great Idea #1
Leave a bag of clean clothes ready for me in Houston. I had been traveling for two weeks and was tired of carrying around all my luggage. I did laundry and had some dry cleaning done last week. When I went to the airport, I left one of my bags at the airport Holiday Inn here in Houston.
Great Idea #2
I decided to stay at the Holiday Inn by the Phoenix airport Sunday night. My flight was at 7am Monday morning. That is just too early in the morning for me.

Problem with my great ideas:

1. When I got dressed this morning, I realized that both my belts were in my suitcase in Houston.
2. When I took my shower last night at the airport hotel, I realized I didn't have my hair products. The combination of Houston, humidity and my hair does not settle well with me.
3. When I went to brush my teeth last night, I realized that while I had a toothbrush and toothpaste at home and another set in Houston, I didn't have anything with me at the airport.
4. When I went to put deodorant on this morning, I realized that I was also missing this.

Thank goodness for the front desk - at least I was able to brush my teeth and put deodorant on.

The kids say that I should just keep clothes in each city I go to. That might be kind of crazy but I sure did like not having to check in luggage today and being able to go straight to my gate and then also straight to the car after I landed. Hmmm. Maybe should I consider that idea some more.
